After the sudden US withdrawal and subsequent Turkish intervention against Kurdish YPG fighters, our map now shows which territory is controlled by Turkey-affiliated forces, plus which has come under joint SDF and Syrian government control.
While separatists have forced President Hadi to move his government out of Aden, Houthi and pro-Hadi forces have each captured territory from each other near the Saudi border.
The fight for Tripoli remains at a stalemate, with each of the country’s rival governments losing and the recapturing territory, while control has shifted again in the far southern town of Murzuq.
